Giselle Monzón
Cuba Giselle Monzón, born in Santa Clara, Cuba, currently resides in San Francisco, California. Graduated in Graphic Design at the Instituto Superior de Diseño de La Habana. Throughout her career as a designer, she has collaborated with various Cuban institutions, such as the Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales and the ICAIC (Instituto Cubano de Arte e Industria Cinematográficos), where she has created posters and other communication materials for exhibitions, films and festivals. In keeping with the rich Cuban tradition, their posters are usually produced by silkscreen printing. Currently, Giselle is mainly dedicated to design in the cultural field, both in Cuba and internationally. His achievements include the prestigious Coral Award at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, as well as first prize (in collaboration) in the cultural poster category at the 2015 Bolivia Poster Biennial. Its commitment to creative collaboration is noteworthy. Giselle is part of the design group Nocturnal, together with other colleagues/friends exploring new frontiers between art and design. He is part of our International Jury of the 18th BICM 2024.
