Music can also be present in an image. This exhibition brings together a selection of posters created to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, a history marked by the promotion of symphonic music and its enduring connection to culture and the visual arts.
Through the language of the poster, Mexican and Polish artists and designers transform sounds, rhythms, and emotions into graphic compositions that engage with the history of one of Mexico’s most iconic musical institutions. Each piece becomes a visual interpretation of music: a convergence of color, form, and memory.
This exhibition celebrates the relationship between music and design, recognizing the poster as a medium for cultural expression capable of connecting disciplines, generations, and regions.
