The 19th BICM, as part of the 19th Art & Culture for Peace Festival in Mexico City, kicked off its program on May 28 with the opening of the Toulouse-Lautrec Exhibition at Casa del Poeta Ramón López Velarde. This opening marked the start of a program featuring exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and special events at various cultural venues throughout the city.

The events of the 19th Art & Culture for Peace Festival will take place at various cultural venues in Mexico City, including the Vasconcelos Library, the Mexico Library, the Esperanza Iris City Theater, El Rule, the Digital Culture Center, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Museum, the House of the First Printing Press, the House of Words, Las Águilas Park, UTOPÍA Mixhuca, and the UNAM Hoy Museum.

The venues for the 19th Art & Culture for Peace Festival are spread across various cultural spaces in Mexico City, including the Vasconcelos Library, El Rule, the Center for Digital Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Museum, the Mexico Library, the House of the First Printing Press, the House of Words, Las Águilas Park, UTOPÍA Mixhuca, the UNAM Hoy Museum, and the Esperanza Iris City Theater. This network of venues brings together a program that connects exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and special events, fostering dialogue with diverse audiences across different parts of the city.
The workshops for the 19th Art and Culture for Peace Festival will take place October 22–24 at the Vasconcelos Library. This program brings together a variety of learning and exchange experiences centered on design, imagery, and their role as tools for reflection, dialogue, and cultural development.

Jarocho son arrives at the 19th Festival of Art & Culture of Peace with a performance celebrating one of Mexico’s most representative musical traditions. Featuring Son de Madera and Son Ellas, this gathering brings together different voices and generations to share a repertoire that intertwines music, community, and tradition.
With the special participation of Erika Suárez and Luis García Ireta “El Meduso,” the performance offers a journey through the richness of jarocho son as a living expression of Mexican cultural heritage. traduce al espa;o
ORQUESTA SINFÓNICA DE XALAPA de LA UV
Founded in 1929, the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra is one of the symphonic ensembles with the longest history in Mexico. From Veracruz, its history has been built across generations of musicians, conductors, and audiences, bringing music to new stages and strengthening its connection with culture and community.
Today, as part of the Universidad Veracruzana, the OSX continues to create a space for gathering, memory, and cultural transformation.

The Vasconcelos Library will host the opening of the poster exhibition and the awards ceremony for the 19th International Poster Biennial in Mexico on October 22 at 5:00 p.m.

To conclude the 19th International Poster Biennial in Mexico, the OSX Gala Concert will be held as the closing event at the Esperanza Iris City Theater on October 25 at 7:00 p.m.
