MEXTRÓPOLI 2022. Festival de Arquitectura y Ciudad
El Festival de Arquitectura y Ciudad, MEXTRÓPOLI, está por celebrar una nueva edición este año de 2022. Durante los días del 21 al 25 de septiembre, a lo largo de distintas sedes, tendrán una serie de actividades que abarcan conferencias con invitados internacionales, exposiciones, mesas de diálogo, talleres, instalaciones en espacios públicos, rutas y visitas especializadas, presentaciones de libros, más otros eventos.
Considerado como el festival más importante de América en este rubro, este año contarán con la presencia de: Shigeru Ban, Tatiana Bilbao, Hashim Sarkis, Marta Moreira, Cecilia Puga, Philippe Rahm, Lacol/Cristina Gamboa, Loreta Castro, Ana Falú, Zaida Muxí, Camilo Restrepo, Josep Maria Montaner, Iñaki Ábalos, Torolab, Andrea Griborio, Elizabeth Añaños, Sauter von Moos, entre muchos otros.
Con precios que van de los $1350 hasta $2625, todas las conferencias magistrales sucederán el miércoles 21 de septiembre, a partir de las 9 am, en el Teatro Metropólitan. No obstante, también habrán muchas actividades gratuitas, como varias exposiciones, dentro de las que se encuentra la exhibición de ganadores y finalistas de la XII Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, que tendrá por temática, “Habitar al Margen”.
Asimismo, habrá una serie de instalaciones que se montarán en varios puntos de la ciudad, como el Muestrario Geográfico de Colombia o el Walled Garden y Afluencia Programada, ambas en la Alameda Central. A la par, varias mesas de diálogo estarán presentándose en varias sedes, como el Centro Cultural “El Rule”, el Museo de Arte Popular o el Centro Cultural España.

The City and Architecture Festival , MEXTRÓPOLI, will be celebrating a new edition this year. Through September 21st to 25th, in different venues, they will have a series of activities encompassing conferences with international guests, exhibitions, round-table discussions, workshops, installations in public spaces, routes and special visits, book presentations, amongst other events.
Considered as the most important festival in America in this branch, this year they will count with the presence of: Shigeru Ban, Tatiana Bilbao, Hashim Sarkis, Marta Moreira, Cecilia Puga, Philippe Rahm, Lacol/Cristina Gamboa, Loreta Castro, Ana Falú, Zaida Muxí, Camilo Restrepo, Josep Maria Montaner, Iñaki Ábalos, Torolab, Andrea Griborio, Elizabeth Añaños, Sauter von Moos, amongst many others.
Prices range from $1350 to $2625 MXN, and all master conferences will be carried out on Wednesday, September 21st at 9 am, at the Metropólitan Theater. However, there will be many free activities, such as several exhibitions, for example, the exhibition of the finalists and winners of the XII Latin American Architecture and Urban Planning Biennial, with the theme “Residing on the Sidelines”.
Additionally, there will be a series of installations that will be put up in several points in the city, such as the Geographical Showcase of Colombia or the Walled Garden and Programmed Influx, both at the Alameda Central. On par with these, a number of round tables will be presented at many venues, like the “El Rule” Cultural Center, the Popular Art Museum, or the España Cultural Center.
