He is currently one of the most important poster designers in Germany and in the world. He is the director of the studio gggrafik design, which has a special interest in printing design. In addition, he is the president of the annual international poster contest Mut Zur Wut?, which has the objective of creating conscience about worldwide and social problems that fade geographic and ideological frontiers. On the other hand, he was president from 2014 to 2018 of the 100 Beste Plakate association. She studied graphic arts in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw involving poster workshops, typography and editorial graphic. She took many scholarships, which include France, Switzerland and Mexico. He is a great graphic designer that likes to develop in different areas. He has been director of many design and marketing agencies, such as Boelt Bros, which he founded and directed for a while; he is currently director in Brain Bolts and partner in Horsefly. He was also a teacher in many universities in Arizona and Colorado and has participated as a jury in many international design competitions. his work has been awarded in Czech Republic, Mexico, England, Canada, Russia, Poland and USA, among others.

ANGELINA LIPPERT / USA

She is the chief curator in Poster House located in New York City and she’s a member in the Board of Directors of The Ephemera Society of America. For about ten years, she worked as a poster specialist in a leading auction house in New York City, resulting in the production of dozens of catalogs and articles related to it and to Art Deco. She has given conferences in the Cooper Union University and her research interest go from food and wine’s history in advertisement, german expressionism and posters from soviet movies.

JOSÉ LUIS ORTIZ / MEX-USA

 

He was born in Mexico City in 1945. At 15, he took an artistic path by entering the National School of Plastic Arts UNAM. At 19 he founded the magazines Comunicación y Visión Publicitaria, in which he was in charge of the design. Both of those magazines belong to the Asociación Nacional de la Publicidad. Later on he contributed with the graphic design of the XIX Olympics program in 1968 and the graphic identity of the IX FIFA World Cup in 1970. In the year 1972 he created a new study program for the Bachelor in Graphic Communication in UNAM. His work as a teacher and designer has taken him to work as a professor, as a lecturer and jury for different institutions in Mexico and abroad. Founder and creative director in Optima Integrated Design, which was founded after graduating from the Pratt Institute in New York, following her return to Taiwan in 2005. She is the Honorary President of the Graphic Design Association in Taiwan, vice president of the Design Alliance in her native place and has been jury for many design prizes. KLAUS WELP / FIN

 

He is a visual artist with a very active career. He has worked as an illustrator and editorial photographer, as a graphic designer and even as a creator of short films. He was the Arts Director in the magazine Voima y Fifi. He was part of the advertising parody group Adbusters Finland, which led to the exposition and book called Louserit Vuittuun. He wrote and directed the short musical film video Northern Lowland, which was awarded in many festivals. PAULA BARRAGÁN / ECU

She is an official artist in the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Award. She has her own workshop in Quito, where she designs logos, posters, makes illustrations, book covers, among many other things. For her, “drawing is like a prodigious lense that helps observe life, to listen to the world and to create something different”. Her work explores and develops in the art field, like painting, engraving and drawing, resulting in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in USA, Spain, New Zealand and many other countries. For about ten years, she worked as a permanent artist in Multiple Impressions (Soho, New York), where she exhibited three times. Currently she is an artist for Davidson Galleries in Seattle, Washington.

CARLOS JOAQUÍN RAMÍREZ / MEX

 

Carlos Joaquín Ramírez is a Mexican graphic artist, designer and illustrator. He was the editorial coordinator at the Universidad de Las Américas in Puebla and deputy director of the visual arts area of the Centro de las Artes de San Luis Potosí Centenario (CASLP), where he created the CASLP Design Laboratory. Likewise, he has given talks and workshops in various universities, both in Mexico and around the world. Among them you can enlist the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, the New World Arts School, USA, or the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. On the other hand, his work has been exhibited in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, USA, Portugal, Mexico, among other countries.
